Latika Gupta

Latika Gupta is a clinician scientist working as Assistant Professor at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India. In addition to running the myositis clinic at the oldest rheumatology research and training unit in India, she is a dedicated myositis researcher and has successfully secured extra- and intramural funding for various ongoing projects on this rare disease. In addition to entering collaborations with European and American counterparts working on myositis, her efforts were seminal in setting up myoIN, an Indian collaboration on myositis. Recently she organised the first myositis-focused meeting, the myoIN summit, in Lucknow. 

Dr Gupta is currently the social media editor for the Journal of Clinical Rheumatology and the Indian Journal of Rheumatology, the associate editor of the International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases, and has been awarded the Publon’s top peer reviewer award for clinical sciences as well as cross-specialty. She has had a meritorious career with 30 publications, 10 awards, nine travel fellowships, and six gold medals.
